Process Digitalization in the Company

Process Digitalization in the Company

In 2024, the company, receiving financial support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, implemented a digitalization project. During this time, the company’s data management processes were improved. A data network was created in accordance with the company’s production. The established data network ensures data security, storage, and communication infrastructure, which promotes the company’s development and is expected to improve customer service efficiency and productivity.

By implementing digitalization of the production process, the company now ensures secure digital data storage and the creation of data backups. Information required for the production process is transmitted digitally. Operators receive work tasks, drawings, and other necessary information in digital form. The number of human resources involved in the chain has been reduced.

Information and necessary notes for the production process are stored digitally, thus reducing the number of people involved and the possibility of errors.

As part of the project, a platform has been created so that operators and work supervisors can effectively substitute each other during absences. Currently, the information required for production is digitally available to each employee according to their tasks, competencies, and responsibilities.

After the implementation of the project, the amount of paper used in the production process significantly decreased, reducing administrative costs and making the company more environmentally friendly. Likewise, by digitalizing the production processes, the time resources of involved persons are used more efficiently, and the traceability of products and raw materials has increased.

Key achievements:

*A data server was installed, which stores the company’s data in digital format and performs data backups;

*Technical network implementation work. A data network and infrastructure were created so that equipment operators and other persons involved in the production process can access the digital version of the data according to their competence, tasks, and responsibilities, as well as process and enter production data when necessary;

*A system was created so that production operators receive work tasks and related information directly in digital form on computer devices attached to production equipment. Through specialized computer software, work tasks are delivered directly to operators without printing work sheets and drawings. Operators also provide feedback on completed tasks by entering the information directly into the program so that it is understandable and accessible to every user. A drawing is added to the work task, which is also available to every network user, thus saving unnecessary time in obtaining the information;

*Actions taken for data digitalization – preparation of drawings necessary for production in digital format, uploading them to the network, etc. Production data previously used in paper form have been digitalized;

*Employee training was conducted to improve data protection and storage;

*Additional electricity and internet connections were established, as well as other technical tasks.

After investments in digital transformation, manual labor has been reduced, a unified standardized document flow has been established, expenses for toner and paper have been reduced, and the time needed to prepare orders has decreased. At the same time, by implementing a secure data network, the number of errors and the administrative burden in production are reduced, the number of human resources involved is decreased, and work efficiency and productivity are increased. Also, the amount of paper used is reduced, lowering costs and making the company more environmentally friendly.
